Olive oil, Wine, and More

St. Ana Estate has a rich and fascinating history that dates back to the 16th century. Originally owned by the noble family of Polesini, the estate was once a thriving agricultural center that produced wine, olive oil, and other crops. Over time, however, the estate fell into disrepair and was largely abandoned.

In recent years, the estate has undergone a remarkable regeneration, thanks to the efforts of a dedicated team of individuals who have worked tirelessly to restore the estate to its former glory.

One of the estate’s primary products is its delicious and high-quality virgin olive oil, which is produced using traditional methods and sold on-site at the estate’s gift shop. The estate’s olive groves are home to a variety of local olive varieties from Leccino, Pendolino and Maurino to famous Istrska Belica olive, which is renowned for its delicate and fruity flavor.

There are 950 olives on the estate giving approximatelly 1000 litres of olive oil of superior quality per year, which is recognized by numerous prizes from world’s most renown olive oil competitions.

Visitors to St. Ana Estate can take a guided tour of the olive groves and learn about the process of olive oil production, from harvesting the olives to pressing and bottling the oil. The estate also offers olive oil tastings, allowing visitors to sample the different varieties of oil produced on-site.

Cherries, aronia, mulberries, and lavender

In addition to its olive oil production, St. Ana is also home to a variety of other crops, including grapes, cherries, aronia, mulberries, and lavender. The estate’s gardens are beautifully maintained and provide a peaceful and idyllic setting for visitors to explore and relax.
